Our Rose Bowl Celebration Mixer was an evening of fun, food and celebration of for the Rose Bowl. Guests had the exclusive opportunity to meet the 2019 Rose Queen Louise Deser Siskel and her Royal Court and Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation. Big Ten Club members and friends, mingled with other Tournament of Roses board members as well.

We welcomed guests from Ohio State and other Big Ten schools to celebrate the Rose Bowl. Ohio State University’s Football Coach Urban Meyer even called in to our event! Check out the video below.

Delicious Desserts and More...Valley Hunt Club catering provided delicious gourmet sliders and fries, plus desserts and special holiday drinks that all the guests were talking about throughout the evening. About the Valley Hunt ClubDID YOU KNOW the Valley Hunt Club started the Tournament Of Roses Parade in 1890?
Over the years, the festival expanded to include marching bands and motorized floats. The games on the town lot (which was renamed Tournament Park in 1900) included ostrich races, bronco busting demonstrations, football and a race between a camel and an elephant (the elephant won). Reviewing stands were built along the parade route, and Eastern newspapers began to take notice of the event. In 1895, the Tournament of Roses Association was formed to take charge of the festival, which had grown too large for the Valley Hunt Club to handle. After an interregnum of many decades (except for major anniversaries) the club again entered the parade in 1983, and now every year enters an antique carriage, typically a "roof seat break" pulled by friesian horses with outriders. The club is the "Formation Area" of each year's Rose Parade. *source: Wikipedia
