Dear Big Ten Club Members,

The football champion of the Big Ten Conference will not be known until Saturday, December 3 as this is the very first year there will be a Big Ten Championship game. The Rose Bowl game on New Year’s Day is set for Monday, January 2, 2012.  Regardless of who plays, however, we hope that you will still plan to attend the bowl game that’s often described as the “Granddaddy of them all!”

Once again, thanks to our long-standing - and excellent - relationship that we enjoy with the Tournament of Roses we are delighted to once again be able to offer our members the opportunity to purchase tickets.  Enclosed is the ticket application form which we encourage you to read closely and to adhere to the deadline of Wednesday, December 7.  Due to the short timeframe to process tickets your attention to detail in completing the application will be very much appreciated as we will not have time to correct orders that are not completed properly.

As always, the Football Ticket Committee will distribute tickets as set forth in the club’s procedure manual (i.e., officers, directors and associate directors, past presidents, participating members, life members, general dues paying members, etc.)  Also, please note that the use of these tickets is a privilege extended to us by the Tournament of Roses and are for our members use only.  A violation of this policy will result in a member being unable to purchase tickets in the future.

The Tournament has mandated that tickets now be sent with tracking numbers so they will be sent via FedEx around December 16.  Please note that Post Office box addresses are not acceptable.  Unless requested without, signature verification for delivery is required.  To be safe, we suggest that, if possible, you have the tickets sent to a work address.  Delivery can be anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Please mark on the application whether it’s a business or residential address and if you will waive the signature requirement.

We look forward to seeing you at two special upcoming events – the annual Holiday/Toy Drive/Big Ten Championship party on Saturday, December 3 and the Queen’s Luncheon on Friday, December 16 at the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena.

Best wishes for the holidays and Go Big Ten!

Sincerely,
Steve Green
