  • Raised in the City and spent six weeks each summer in Killarney Co Kerry Ireland with family
  • Graduated from Stuyvesant High School lettering in track and receiving a gold medal in the NYC Math Fair
  • Member of the Girl Scout Program from Brownies through Senior Scouts, Ms. Buchanan received her first class award from President Ford in 1976 in a special b-centennial celebration at The World Trade center
  • Member of Michigan Marching Band in the percussion section
  • Resident Advisor and then Director at West Quadrangle at UM
  • Graduated from University of Michigan with a major in Economics
  • Began professional career in Telecommunicaitons working with Applied Voice Technologies, Brooktrout Technologies and Toshiba Information Systems
  • Currently Western Regional Manager for NEC's Voice Processing group
  • Member of The American Association of University Women
  • Past President (2 years) of University of Michigan Alumni Club, during her tenure the Club achieved The Outstanding Club Award from Ann Arbor
  • Lifetime member of the Big Ten Club of Southern California
  • Enjoys cooking, traveling, sports (especially Wolverine teams!)
