JANUARY NEWSLETTER BIG TEN CLUB
CLUB EVENTS - RECAP Queen’s Luncheon and Rose Bowl Recap The Valley Hunt Club was the site of another excellent Queen’s Luncheon with many Tournament and Big Ten Club members in attendance. Our very own Derek Hildebrandt maintained his high standard of hosting with a call-in from Wisconsin Head Coach Bret Bielema and giveaways of some great Media Day swag. The Queen and her Court enjoyed the festivities and were able to share with us some of their fondest Rose Bowl memories and Court experiences. While the Rose Bowl outcome was not favorable for Wisconsin, the game itself was very exciting and the play of both teams ended up setting the Rose Bowl record for most points scored. Thankfully, there were some Big Ten winners on Monday with our very own Wick McLaren winning a free 3D television from Vizio thanks to his Big Ten Club tickets.Big Ten Golf Outing Recap December 31, 2011, 8am-11:30am Arroyo Seco Golf Course, Pasadena Good times were had on the links with Club members. Big Ten Club Website – Help Wanted Our Webmaster Steven Green will be President next year, and he'll have plenty to do for the Club. We are thinking of redoing the website and asking for a volunteer who can add content regularly and keep it updated. This is a very important part of our updated Communication plan, and help here would be very useful and greatly appreciated. The ideal person would have web design experience, a little graphic art knowledge and 3-4 hours a month available to help the Club.
