President’s Letter

Dear Big Ten Club Members:

This is the last letter you’ll get from me in 2012.  It’s okay.  I know you’ll miss me.  I’ll miss you all, too!
It’s amazing how fast this year has gone.  I would like to wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy holiday season.  I would also like to thank the executive committee and our board of directors for their efforts and energy.  I’d like to give a special thanks to Len Roth who is donating an iPad to the club, so that we may check you in and take membership payments electronically.  It’s quite a thing.
I remember a pencil and paper… Well, okay, maybe a pen!
We have had some wonderful events in 2012 and look forward to a very full and exciting event calendar for next year.  Keep checking the web site for the most up-to-date information, as well as these newsletters.
But we are not quite done yet!
On Tuesday, December 18 please join us for the fabulous Rose Queen’s Luncheon.  This is your chance to have a formal, sit-down lunch at the famed Valley Hunt Club, and spend an afternoon with the Rose Queen and her court, as well as TOR officials and fellow Big Ten alums.  There is good reason it is always one of the most anticipated events of the year!
Queen's Luncheon RSVP HERE!
December 28 and 29 we will be helping Wisconsin decorate their Rose Bowl Parade float… and on December 29 we will be participating in the Inaugural Rose Bowl Game Golf Classic.
Then of course it is on to the Granddaddy of them all on the 1st!
We wish all of our Big Ten teams good luck and victories in their bowl games… and the chance to celebrate all that brings us together.
Enjoy each and ever day.  Go Big Ten!!!
Marc Goldsmith
President, Big Ten Club of Southern California
