Hello My Big Ten Family (or Ohana, as I now like to say)
If you have not yet RSVPd for the Caucus on Wednesday, Aug. 15th, DO IT NOW.  We have extended the deadline to Sunday Aug. 12th… but that is it.
This is the annual kick off event to the college football season and is always a fantastic evening.  You will not want to miss it and then kick yourself like a football missing the posts.  Trust me.
It is time renew your Big Ten Club Membership.  Annual renewals are due each year by September 30th.
I am writing this from the island of Oahu and will be back in LA soon.  I hear I am missing a major heat wave.  Sorry… Well, for you, not me.  I was in Kauai before that, which was phenomenal.  I think I am mentally still there.
Today was a visit to Pearl Harbor and it is as moving as you can imagine.  It made me realize how valuable family and friends are, especially those we have made in the Big Ten Club.  What a great organization it is, that brings people together from different schools and backgrounds.  We share similar values and a mutual desire to connect, socialize and make a positive impact on the community.  That is pretty powerful stuff.
So let me say Aloha and Maholo nui loa… and I will see you at the Caucus, our beach party and at many of our great events throughout the year.  Enjoy the end of Summer… Fall is a leaf drop away!
